Chester survived the initial bombing of the USS Arizona. He and another survivor were both in a lifeboat pulling injured crew members out of the water when their boat was hit. Chester did not survive this second attack. We are so proud that he died trying to save his crew members. A real hero no doubt. Gail (Rose) Berish Mr. Rose's Cousin |
