Orville did various types of art work played the accordion, loved to dance, and had worked very hard on the family farm before going into the Navy in 1938. Orville lost his life at age 24. One of Orville's very good friends aboard the USS Arizona was W. D. Greenwald, who was also a storekeeper. Mr. Greenwald was discharged in May of 1941 and now lives in Oshkosh, WI. Mr. Greenwald is a member of the USS Arizona Reunion Association. |
